Early May 2019, On this trip, I am travelling solo in Ibiza, which I do quite often and really enjoy. I meet so many people and have made life long friends.
So today, I wake up about 11 o’clock, (after being out the night before), the weather isn’t the best with lots of cloud, so I decide to head to the bus station with no particular plan in mind. The first bus was for Santa Eulalia, I have never been there, so thought right lets go!
The bus only took 20 minutes to get there and the driver told us where to buy tickets for our returns. I think the bus cost about 3 euros each way.
As I mentioned earlier, with lots of cloud, it was inevitable that it would rain and oh my, did it!
I had a wander around in the rain and thought, ok lets hit the shops (at least I can keep dry). I had taken money out this morning before I left my hotel, hoping I might see something to buy. Unfortunately most of the shops were closed for Siesta.
Eventually I head back to the bus stop to buy my return ticket. With time to spare, I sit on a bench to eat my sandwiches, when it starts to rain, yet again. I decided to make a run to the nearest cafe and order a cuppa. I randomly took some photos whilst waiting for the waiter. When I went to pay the bill, I realised I had lost my purse, with 100 euros in it!! I ran back to the bench….but it was gone. Gutted, miserable, cold and depressed!!
So later on in the evening I decide to go out and drown my sorrows, (luckily I had bought my bus tickets earlier, otherwise I would have been stranded in Santa Eulalia.
Anyway, later, when I looked at the photos on my phone, zooming in, I can see my purse on the bench!! Zoom in and have a look at the far bench below.

I think if I had been robbed, I would have felt better, but it was my own stupid fault!! Still, it could have been worse, it could have been my phone!!
Santa Eulalia, in the sunshine, must look amazing, its a lovely resort with a beautiful beach and promenade. I passed some lovely narrow streets full of cafes and restaurants. There was also a little market selling crafts. There are also a few designer shops, but be aware of siestas. I found the prices reasonable especially compared to San Antonio.
So suffice to say, I didn’t really enjoy myself this time in Santa Eulalia, however I will go back in August when its a lot warmer and of course I will keep an eye on my purse this time.
